So, like I promised in the last post, here are Superstar Dave's kids, with a couple of bonus shots that include his Rockstar wife, Nicole. We spent a couple of hours at Fort Edmonton Park and had so much fun. Leo and Oscar are the cutest thing going.

I have no words. His eyes are something else. Oh, I guess I do have words.

Thanks for letting me take pictures of your kids you guys! It was a lot of fun.

Superstar Dave

I did my first headshots for my friend Dave Brown. He's an actor! Woooo! Fancy. I think they turned out very well. We took these in downtown Lethbridge when I was there at the end of October/beginning of November.

Dave Brown rocks! I took pictures of his two awesome kids in the summer - I'll post those soon.

Wanna Learn About Taking Pictures?

I'm offering a workshop! I love taking pictures. I especially love taking awesome pictures. What better way to celebrate photography than helping other people take awesome pictures?

The details:

Session 1 - How to Take Better Photos

This session will focus on basic composition and lighting so you can take awesome photos of people. I can definitely cover other subjects, but we'll mostly deal with people-pictures.
Who's It For?
For people with point and shoot and DSLRs, but I won't be covering camera settings in detail (aperture, shutter speed, ISO), so if you don't know the ins and outs of your DSLR, you could still take the class but operate it on AUTO.

How Long Is It?
1.5 hrs

How Much Does It Cost?
All for the low low price of $30

When?
Tuesday November 25 7:30-9:00 pm OR
Saturday November 29 10:00-11:30 am

Where?
At my house in west-central Edmonton.
Each class is limited to five participants, so let me know ASAP. Depending on interest, I may hold a DSLR-focussed class either sometime in December or in the New Year, so let me know if you would be interested in that option.

Let me know if you have any questions at all and please feel free to share this offer with others that might be interested.

Wherefore Art Thou, Comments?

Hi everyone!

I don't get a whole lot of visitors to my website, but I do get a few. The problem is, I don't know who you all are! I know my mom visits, but there's more than just her. To find out a bit more about you, I want to encourage comments on my posts. So, I'll post a question and hopefully you visitors will speak up. So, today's question is: who are you and how did you get to my blog?

Ready, set, comment!

Here's a picture of the cutest baby ever to inspire you:

Chill Session with Rob and Lauren

What a busy week! Three posts in one week is a record, I think. And I still have one more session to post from last weekend!

I had the absolute pleasure of attending a Chill Session with awesome wedding photographers Rob and Lauren yesterday. They are a young couple who have built an amazing and artistic wedding photography business in a very short period of time. If you scroll to the bottom of the post about the session, I'm the one in the back, in the brown jacket with my legs crossed, paying absolutely no attention to the shoot. :) They shared alot of amazing information and let us pick their brains. It was so great to meet them and so many other photographers.

We also got to tag along on a session with them. We had an awesome couple, Greg and Carole, volunteer to be followed around a business park by a bunch of photographers taking their picture. They were so amazing and gracious in the face of all of our lenses. Here are some pictures to give you the idea:

Can you even see Greg and Carole in the midst of that crowd?

Lauren getting up close and personal.

This was my view for much of the shoot (I'm not complaining!).

Rob (playing with a camera), Lauren goofing it up for Bruce from Moments in Digital. If you want to see what the shot looked like, go look at his blog!

Notice Lauren giving animated direction in the top right.

I had such a great time and more than a few lightbulbs went off for me, so I'm excited to put them into action in my photography.

Also, if you are looking for wedding photographers, look no further. Rob and Lauren are fantastic and fun and, if you are fantastic and fun, exactly who you would want there on your big day.

Scott and Cheri and Jonah and Max

Double posting today! I wanted to share some of the best shots from a session I did last week with a super cute and fun family. They have two adorable little boys, one of which wasn't feeling so hot. I bet you can't guess which one!

Adorable brothers.

The eyes!

These guys quite like each other.

Little feet, big feet.

Poor Max. Cute family, though.

Thanks you guys - I had a great time and I hope you did, too.

Kris and Katy and Ruby

Instead of posting pictures of this session, I am debuting something super fun! It will be available for all sessions from now on. Drop me a line to book a session (holiday cards/gifts anyone?) or to chat!

Kris and Katy and Ruby were a ton of fun and I had a blast. Thank you guys! Ruby is a sweetiepie and I hope she is sleeping better for you.

Heidi and Darren (and James)

Hi everyone! It's been awhile, but here I am to blog about Heidi and Darren's wedding! It was a great time and I'm impressed that they had the guts to ask me to do this for them, as untested as I am at weddings. It was a super fun time and here are some of my favourite shots!

Holiday Cards

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you all know that I offer greeting cards that use photos taken during a session. I have attached some examples, but really the options are endless. They make great baby announcements, too!

The ones I have shown are a simple, two sided postcard type. I can create standard 5X7 folded cards, smaller, square tri-fold cards, etc. Just let me know what you are looking for and we can create something fabulous.

Let me know if you are interested!

Click on the cards for a larger view! Thanks to my models! :)
